In order to teach myself things I tend to experiment... and sometimes these experiments are not so pretty.
Exhibit A:
Singedring01

DON'T JUDGE ME! Hahaa- It is a offering to the fire gods!
Exhibit B:
Singedring02

Actually it is a prototype of sorts for an idea I had while I was waking from dream the other morning.
Far from finished and really over heated~!

But still- too lovely to me- to just throw away. Not sure what will become of this finished idea- but there was something inside telling me to make it... I also am going to turn it into a pendant...

I just think it is truly "okay" to share things which are Not Perfect as much as the pretty things. It is important to see the process... you know?
Everything teaches you something.

The mistakes are more interesting, anyway. I was just discussing with my wife a small problem we're having with our 6-year old son. He's entered a perfectionist phase. He thinks everything needs to be completed perfectly, whether that's his homework, crafts, art or whatever.

I suggested that we encourage Jeremy to do just what many of my "art-buddies" have always suggested - purposely try screwing things up once in a while. You learn more that way. Most importantly that it's not the end of the world. :)
